HOOVERVILLE AT AMHERST HISTORICAL SOCIETY, September 7, 10am-5pm, Sandstone Village, Amherst, with historical re-enactors, games, music and pastimes of the 1930s while learning about Amherst’s role in helping those struggling through the Great Depression.

PIONEER DAYS, September 7, 10am-4pm, Historic Lyme Village, Bellevue, with presenters covering a wide variety of topics dealing with pioneer living and the history of our country.

HAUNTED PUT-IN-BAY GHOST WALK, September 8, 6pm, Put-in-Bay Winery.

WALKIN’ ON WEDNESDAY, September 11, 4-7:30pm, Main Street Amherst, with a vendor and car show, plus an area for kids to play some games on the streets of the historic district, live entertainment, shops, restaurants and businesses will be open late.

HALLOWEEKENDS, September 12-November 2, Cedar Point, Thurs 6 pm-12 am, Fri-Sat 11 am-12 pm, Sun 11 am-8 pm, with not-so-scary Halloween fun for the kids in the day and scarier fun and haunted houses after dark. Limited rides Thursday, with all rides open Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
