CEDAR POINT BOARDWALK NIGHTS WCPZ CALL-IN CONTEST RULES
CONTEST PERIOD: The Cedar Point Boardwalk Nights Call-In Contest will be conducted each weekday from Monday, July 20, 2026, through Friday, July 31, 2026. Each daily contest will be conducted anytime between 6:00 AM EST to 4:00 PM EST. When listeners hear the song ‘Under the Boardwalk’ by John Mellancamp on Mix 102-7 WCPZ FM’s signal, they must be the fourth caller at 419-621-1027. Mix 102.7 reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the contest in the event of programming changes, holidays, technical difficulties, or any circumstance that prevents The Morning Mix from airing as scheduled.
ELIGIBILITY: This is a Mix 102.7 WCPZ station contest. The contest is open only to legal U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older and who reside within Mix 102.7 WCPZ’s listening area. Employees, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, representatives, and their immediate family members or household members of the sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, prize sponsors, and employees of other media organizations are not eligible to enter. Winners of any Mix 102.7 on-air contest are not eligible to win another Mix 102.7 contest prize within thirty (30) days. By calling in and participating, each entrant agrees to be bound by these official contest rules.
HOW TO ENTER: No purchase is necessary to enter or win. To participate, listeners must call the studio phone number (419-621-1027) when they hear the song ‘Under the Boardwalk’ by John Mellencamp on Mix 102.7-FM. The song will be played anytime between 6:00 AM EST to 4:00 PM EST on Mix 102.7-FM on weekdays throughout the contest period. Phone calls and winners will be determined by Promotions Manager, Audra Sennish, at the time of each weekday contest. If a caller is disconnected or cannot be heard clearly, the station may select another caller. Use of auto-dialers, bots, or mechanical reproduction of calls is prohibited.
PRIZE(S) DESCRIPTIONS: A total of five (10) winners will be selected during the contest period, with one (1) winner awarded each weekday. Each winner will receive two (2) general admission tickets to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, with an approximate retail value of $100 ($50 per ticket). Prize packages include admission tickets only and do not include transportation, lodging, parking, food, beverages, or any other expenses, all of which are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prizes are non-transferable, may not be redeemed for cash, and may not be substituted or exchanged except at the sole discretion of the station. Mix 102.7 WCPZ reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for any reason.
CONDITIONS & LIMITATIONS: Unless otherwise stated, prize packages do not include travel, lodging, meals, or any other incidental expenses. All such costs are the sole financial responsibility of the winner. BAS Broadcasting & Digital assumes no liability and will not provide reimbursement for expenses incurred in connection with claiming or using a prize. In the event any event or activity associated with a prize is cancelled or rescheduled, BAS Broadcasting & Digital is not responsible and will not provide cash or substitute prizes.
WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION: Winners are selected on-air from eligible callers at the time of the contest. Odds of winning depend on the number of listeners calling in and successfully participating. Winners may be required to provide valid photo identification and complete an affidavit of eligibility and publicity/liability release before receiving a prize. Prizes must be picked up at the station at 1651 Tiffin Avenue in Sandusky, Ohio, during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm) unless otherwise arranged. Prizes cannot be mailed out to winners. Failure to claim a prize within thirty (30) days will result in forfeiture.
FURTHER CONDITIONS: The sponsor, including its employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising or promotion agencies, shall not be responsible or liable for telephone issues, dropped calls, signal problems, electronic malfunctions, or technical failures of any kind. The sponsor is not responsible for any conditions beyond its control that may disrupt or corrupt the contest, including injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by participation in the contest or by acceptance, possession, or use of a prize. Printing or typographical errors in contest materials are not the responsibility of the sponsor. By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding. All federal, state, and local laws apply. Taxes on all prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner. By entering this contest, participants grant Mix 102.7 WCPZ and BAS Broadcasting & Digital the right to publicize and broadcast each winner’s name, voice, and likeness, and the fact that he or she won, without additional compensation.
